More About Natascha Olivier

DIETITIAN & LACTATION CONSULTANT

I am a registered dietitian, certified lactation consultant, wife, and mother of 2 beautiful girls.

I am passionate about evidence-based, practical nutrition in infancy, childhood, pregnancy and maternal health, and the family setting. My special interest is in breastfeeding, childhood nutrition, and family nutrition.

My aim is to help, to equip and to empower you to reach YOUR goals, ensuring a healthy life for YOU and YOUR family. Each client is individually evaluated and provided with a well-researched, comprehensive, practical and doable plan they can follow.

I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Pretoria in 2010. I then spent 5 years working in a tertiary hospital in the government sector. During this time I completed my Masters degree at the University of Pretoria. In 2015 my husband and I welcomed our first daughter, but breastfeeding wasn't all natural and easy for me, and I spent a lot of time researching and learning more about this vast topic. My passion for breastfeeding was ignited, and in 2016 I enrolled to become a South African Certified Lactation Consultant. In 2017 we welcomed our second daughter. Since 2016 I have been supporting moms and families on their journey from pregnancy, to breastfeeding, and into the amazing adventure of introducing their little ones to family foods. In 2020 I joined the staff in the Department of Human Nutrition at the University of Pretoria on a part-time basis, assisting in the medical nutrition therapy training of future dietitians.

I am registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa, and am a member of the Association for Dietetics in South Africa.

I have a wealth of evidence-based and practical knowledge that I'd love to share with you! Whether you’re looking for nutritious recipes, or you need professional guidance in order to address a specific health issue, I am ready to help you and your family reach your breastfeeding and nutrition goals today.
