I am a professional, certified breastfeeding consultant and provide in-practice, hospital (NICU or maternity ward) or home visits.
Antenatal info sessions - Not sure what to expect? How often do I nurse? How long baby should sleep? How often baby should pee or poo? What position is best? What will I need (are breastpads, nipple creams, nipple shields, bottles, nursing pillows, etc necessary)?
Troubleshooting - Baby struggling to latch? Not gaining enough weight? Sleepy? Tongue or lip tie? Lactose intolerant? Is breastfeeding painful? My nipples sore, damaged, cracked or bleeding? Do I have too little or too much milk? Thrush? Blocked duct? Mastitis? Abscess?
(Un)expected admission to the Neonatal ICU - Premature or ill baby? You can still provide your breastmilk! Hand expression, pumping plan, initiation of breastfeeding, etc.
Back to work - How much milk does baby need? How to get baby to take a bottle/cup? Which pump & flanges? Pumping schedule? How can I increase my supply?
Weaning - Can I breastfeed while on specific medication? Considering night weaning or complete weaning? Need to wean for a medical procedure? Cold turkey or slow process?
